Studio G

I would like to introduce myself to those of you who I have not had the opportunity to meet. My name is Gloria Rodriguez and I have been a dance teacher at Pinecrest Schools Van nuys for the past ten years. Dance classes begin in September and continue through the month of June. Dancers will receive four classes a month.

Dance Classes Available

Preschool and PreKinder Dancers - Ballet and Tap
1st and 2nd Grade Dancers - Ballet and Tap
3rd through 8th Grade Dancers - Hip Hop and Jazz

Required Dance Attire

Ballet and Tap:

• Girls - pink or black leotard and dance tights, PINK ballet shoes and BLACK tap toes.
• Boys - t-shirt and dance pants/sweat pants

Hip Hop and Jazz

• Girls - any style dance top or leotard and jazz pants, BLACK jazz shoes
• Boys - t-shirt and dance pants/sweat pants, BLACK jazz shoes

All dancers will participate in a major production held during the month of June. Parents will be responsible for the cost of the necessary costumes. The costume fees will be due during the month of January.

About Gloria Rodriguez and Studio G

The name of my dance company is Studio G. This will be my 2nd school year teaching as an independent dance teacher at Pinecrest Schools.

I have been the dance teacher at Pinecrest Schools Van Nuys for the past 10 years. During this time, I spent years as a member of the Los Angeles Laker Girls, and currently continue working in the fitness, commercial, video, television, and film industry. My teaching experience includes ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap and lyrical styles of dance. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dance classes are held in the dance room at Pinecrest Schools Van Nuys during P.E. time and Occasionally during recess time. All dancers will receive a monthly Dance Calendar. The dance schedule may change each month due to field trips, assemblies, and all other school functions.

There is no reimbursement if your child is absent on his/her dance day. However, I will do my best to have your child attend a make-up class.

Dance Payment Information

Studio G contracts are available in the elementary office. Your dance payment must also be included in order to complete your child's enrollment with Studio G. Enrollment in dance classes is on a first come-first served basis.

Make your dance payment with cash or check and turn it into the office by the 1st of every month. Please note all dance checks must be made out separate from school payments. Dance checks should be made payable to Studio G. Thank you!

Please turn your dance payment into the office. If you send payment with your child, I cannot be held responsible for lost cash or checks.

Additional Dance Fees

A $10 late fee will be added to your dance fee if it is received after the 10th of the month. There is also a $15 fee for any returned checks. Future payments must be paid by cash/money order.
