The Story of Thanksgiving
The Pinecrest kindergartners presented a program about the Pilgrims' arrival at Plymouth Rock and how they were helped by the Indians. With wonderful costumes and scenery, and narration by Coach Rod Matlock, they shared an important lesson with the audience about the meaning of Thanksgiving.

Following the program, representatives from each grade took the microphone to express what they are most thankful for. You can read just a few of their thoughts in the paragraphs below. After the assembly, 4th and 5th grade students joined their kindergarten buddies for a Thanksgiving feast on the kinder yard. Thank you to the parents that contributed to our feast and to our 4th and 5th graders for the time they have spent with their young friends.

I'm thankful for everything, but I'm not thankful for the pollution and all the errors of our world. But overall I'm really thankful for the world, food, and mostly my family and friends that I can enjoy for the rest of my life. Most of all I thank God for all the goods he gave us and I wish everybody a very Happy Thanksgiving.

- Dariush S.

Thanksgiving is a time to remember family and friends, and to be thankful for all we have. May your house be full of family, your table full of food, and your heart filled to the brim with love! Happy Thanksgiving!

Love from Second Grade
