March 7, 2008 - Jump Rope for Heart is a very special event, because the funds raised by our students do not directly benefit them or our school. Our students raise money for the American Heart Association. Our goal this year is100% participation. We'd like to see every student bring in at least one donation, even if it's only $5. When we all work together, great things happen.

Dean Johnson kicked off the Jump Rope/Shoot Hoops for Heart campain by reminding us that in order to maintain a healthy heart, we need to "Eat Healthy," "Move Around Enough," and "Live Tobacco Free." Selected students then gave a demonstration of their best jump roping techniques and our championship basketball players showed off their basketball skills.

As our students raise funds for AHA, they will be able to win lots of cool prizes, some of which were displayed at the assembly, as well as special treats (see link below). Join us by giving what you can for this worthwhile cause. Donation can be made directly to our students, or online through the Jump for Heart link below.

  Top fundraiser will receive a $100 Gift Card for Toys R' Us!

Any class that has 100% participation gets an ice cream sundae and fresh fruit party!

  All students who turn in money by March 21st will get Free Dress on Thursday, April 3rd!
