PRIVATE COLLEGES – Admission requirements will vary. College preparatory subjects are recommended.

COMMUNITY COLLEGES – No subject requirements. One of the following three conditions must be met to attend: 1) 18 years old, 2) High School diploma, 3) California proficiency test certificate.

Community Service is strongly recommended and encouraged for the University of California.
A new eligibility index combines high school GPA with SAT I (or ACT) and SAT II test scores. GPA continues to be the most important factor: SAT II is weighed more heavily than SAT I. SAT total = [SAT I composite] + [2 x (SAT II Writing + SAT II math + third SAT II)] SAT I composite is highest combined math and verbal scores from a single sitting. Highest individual SAT II scores, from any sitting, will be considered.
