Yearbook Staff: Students will plan, write, organize, do the photography for, and edit our own Pinecrest Schools Van Nuys Middle School Yearbook. First quarter will focus on brainstorming ideas, outlining the goals for the yearbook and beginning the photography of daily and special events.

The Scribblin' Pad: In this Speech Writing and Public Speaking course called "Speak On It" students will learn how to effectively speak their minds in public. They will learn fun and exciting ways to write and present their thoughts in a variety of oral presentations. Scribblin' Pad will offer News Writing & Reporting and Screenwriting & Movie Making in future quarters. Watch for more info.

Bulldog News: Students will write their own Middle School section of The Pinecone. Students will work on creative writing, interviews, news articles and special interest stories to be published in the monthly Pinecone. Students will use Microsoft Publisher to create their section.

Drama: Students will learn stage direction, pantomime and improvisation. They will memorize and perform their own monologues and scenes for middle school.
