Question: Does music effect a plant's growth?
Hypothesis: If I expose a plant to R & B it will grow taller than the plant exposed to Rap.
Analysis: While doing my experiment I observed that of my three experiment groups, the Control Group, which received no music, grew the most. The plants in the R & B Group grew the least. The plants in the Rap Group had the second best growth rate.
Discovery: After two weeks of listening to tunes, the plants that listened to Rap grew taller than the plants that listened to R & B music. However, the plants in my Control Group, which didn't listen to any music, actually grew the most. Therefore my hypothesis was not correct. Based on my data, plants don't really need any type of music to grow well. But if you are using music, Rap works best, perhaps because the fast tempo and hard hitting beats make the plants grow better than the slow tempo and soft beats of R & B music.
