QUESTION: Does hydrogen peroxide effect the of seed germination?

RESEARCH: In my research I learned the parts of seeds, what they do, what they help with and how they work. I also learned the rules of hydrogen peroxide provided by the E.P.A., also what the effects of hydrogen peroxide are.

HYPOTHESIS: My hypothesis is the hydrogen peroxide will help seed germination because it will kill the bacteria. My hypothesis was correct.

EXPERMENT: The steps of my experiment were first I mix different concentrations of 10ml, 30ml, 50ml of hydrogen peroxide and 473ml of water. Then line Petri dish with filter paper. Then place 3 broccoli seeds in Petri dish. The add one of the concentrations. Repeat this for different concentrations. My materials were broccoli seeds, Petri dishes, filter paper, marker, hydrogen peroxide.

ANALYSIS: While doing my experiment I observed that mixture 4 was the fastest, then mixture 1, then mixture 3, then mixture 5, then mixture 2. Both charts show how many days it took for the seed to germinate.

DISCOVERY: I learned my hypothesis was correct if you have the right amount of hydrogen peroxide.
