7th Grade Language
Each student is responsible for attaining the following items, based on the scenario that they are 17 years old and are in 11th grade:
- application, filled out with name, address, phone #, and specific job or position for which they are applying.
- they need to have the rate of pay for the job they desire
**Remind the students to be aware of their school and sports schedule so that they know "their availability to work."
8th Grade Language
The Career Pamphlet with specific guidelines is due Tuesday, May 20th.
Extra credit has been offered.
****All extra credit offered, only applies if all of the specified criteria has been met. If assignment guidelines have not been met, extra credit will not be applied and the normal amount of point loss will apply.****
**Remember the final book is due on Monday. The students have been given an opportunity to earn significant amount of extra credit. Please ask your child about the extra credit offered.****
My Book of Memories
Project Overview
During the term you will write a book, a book of memories. It will consist of your memories and thoughts from your life. You will be entering high school next year and this memory book will be a project you can look back on to see where you came from and where you thought you were going. Your finished book will be due at the end of the 13 week unit, however you will need to begin work now and work on it daily in order to complete it on time.
Book Format
The final product will be presented to me in book form. It must be bound, not stapled. You can choose your binding format, for example, a three ring binder, a spiral binding , or a special presentation folder. Your chapters may include photos, or attachments, however your book cover must include pictures.
Content
Your book of memories must include the following 10 chapters, Table of Contents, Dedication, and Epilogue.
Chapter 1: “Who Am I?” (Who are you? Where do you live? Week Two
What are your life goals? How do you expect to Date: 2/25
reach those goals?
Five paragraph minimum
Chapter 2: “Before I was, There were..” (Your parents, grand Week Three
Parents, aunts, uncles, older cousins, siblings and Date: 3/3
Anybody who may not be a relative but who has
helped pave the way for you and your family.)

Chapter 3: “Suddenly, I Became Me” (Earliest memories: Week Four
