Among the skills learned by our students are keyboarding using Learning to Type, Jr. and Roller Typing, word processing skills using Microsoft Word, and spreadsheets using Excel. A wide variety of other software programs are used by all of the classes, including reference materials. The students are also learning computer literacy and history, using age appropriate literacy packets.

Students learned about the binary code and leaned to write their names using binary numbers. 

In this 5th grade project, the students were learning to use Excel to compute class grades.

Computer Inventions

My Computerized Book

My computerized book is hand size. The book has Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I would use these programs to do reports on. It also has the Internet so I can look up projects. At one end of the book is a printer that holds regular size paper that is folded up so it can fit into the book. The folded paper does not have creases so it looks neat. The book runs on a chip that was invented a year ago. The chip is supposed to always keep going.
