We welcome you to Pinecrest School in Valencia. Pinecrest is a co-educational private school, home to approximately 450 students, ages 2 1/2 years through Fifth Grade.

From the day Pinecrest was founded in 1951, our vision has been clear: to provide a rich educational experience for the whole child. Over the years we have had the pleasure of preparing thousands of students to take an active and effective role in the world today.

Curriculum:

Preschool: The beginning of formal academic skills starts here. Along with this the children are taught socialization skills with peers as well as fundamental problem solving skills.

Our Pre-Kindergarten classrooms are designed to prepare the children for the Pinecrest Elementary School curriculum.

Kindergarten - Fifth Grade: Our curriculum includes a core program of phonics, reading, spelling, language, handwriting, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education, as well as opportunities for enrichment in art, music, Spanish, computer education, and Student Council. Basic instruction is supplemented with field trips and assemblies.

After School Programs:

Pinecrest invites outside companies to conduct fun and enriching classes for a reasonable fee. They hold classes after school, 1 to 2 hours per week, for approximately 7 to 8 weeks per session. New information goes home with the students at the beginning of each quarter.

Summer Camp:

"We have it all!" Pinecrest Summer Camp provides more time for the activities your child loves most - arcade games, swimming, sports, go-carts, arts and crafts, computers, field trips and much, much more. Camp hours are from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Extended Day Care is offered before and after camp. It is open to children entering First Grade through Sixth Grade, who are grouped with their own age levels. Preschool offers Summer Camp, too!

Summer School:

Continuing its academic tradition, Pinecrest has developed a six-week, half-day program for students entering First Grade through Sixth Grade. Children may attend both Summer School and Summer Camp programs.
