Pinecrest Students Have Heart

This year students raised $8738 for the American Heart Association. This brings our fundraising totals on behalf of the AHA to more than $268,738 since our first "Jump Day" in 1984.

The fundraising campaign culminated in our annual "Jumping Day." Music played, and students jumped rope and danced all day long. A disk jockey kept the energy level high, as students jumped to all their favorites. There were also games and contests throughout the day. Jumping rope is lots of fun, and it also helps to keep your heart healthy.

Congratulations to Athletic Director, Lili Vance, who does such an incredible job organizing Jump Rope for Heart every year at Pinecrest. Thank you to the Pinecrest teachers for supporting the teacher bake sale, whose proceeds all go to the American Heart Association.

Special thanks to Fred Kershaw for providing most of the photos on this page.
