Question
Will radishes grow higher in soil, water or gelatin?
Hypothesis
I am testing to see if a radish grows higher in soil, water, or gelatin over a four-week period. I believe that the radishes will grow the best in soil because that is the way farmers grow them now. After I started my research, I found out that radishes need cool, moist areas. That led me to believe that the radishes may in fact grow in water or gelatin.
Abstract
I grew radishes in soil, water, and gelatin. This allows you to
observe the growth cycle in the water and gelatin.
I watered each plant with one-eighth of a cup every three days.
The plants were also fertilized with .3 fl. oz. one a week. Two sprays
were given after planting.
In the experiment, the radishes planted in water grew the highest
because radishes require cool moist areas. The radishes in the soil grew
the second best by one inch. Lastly, the radishes in gelatin did not grow
because or mold.
