Thomas Jefferson

Hi, I am Thomas Jefferson, and I was born in 1743.  I was a very happy child. I liked the wilderness. I liked to ride, swim, fish and hunt. I also liked to play the violin and read books.  Later, I graduated from the College of William and Mary.

The only two things in my mind were Law and Politics. I became a known lawyer and I also served two times as President of the United States. I helped write the Declaration of Independence. I wanted my wife and children to be freed from slavery. In my later years, I retired and spent more time with my children and grandchildren.

I am Thomas Jefferson.
