The day began with the winners from the Spelling Bees at the individual Pinecrest campuses arriving at our Woodland Hills campus, getting to know each other and receiving instructions on how the Spelling Bee would proceed. The students were then directed to rooms for the Grade Level Mini Bees that would narrow the competitors down to one student from each grade, 4th through 8th.

The Spelling Bee Finals began after lunch and a brief recess. Our competitors had to contend with some words that they found unfamiliar, and several that would have been a challenge to most adults in attendance. All students displayed exceptional sportsmanship as the number of students on the stage slowly dwindled down from five, to four, then three, two, and one. Congratulations to all of our participants.
