School Supplies List

    Kindergarten

    Welcome to the new school year. We would like your child to be completely prepared for their eventful school year. Please provide the following:

    1. Glue sticks

    2. Baby wipes

    3. Markers and/or colored pencils

    4. Water colors

    5. Work folder

    6. Coloring book

    Please be sure to check when your child is running low on these supplies. We are looking forward to a great year.

    1st Grade

    1. Backpack

    2. Pocket folder (1)

    3. Pencil pouch only (No pencil box please)

    4. Plastic container to hold crayons, markers, etc. in the art cubby

    5. Glue Stick (Jumbo Size) and a closed sharpener

    6. Markers or Crayons (optional)

    7. Standard 12″ ruler (Must include cm)

    8. Yellow Highlighter

    9. Roll on liquid glue

    10. 1/2 inch ruled composition workbooks

    11. Small pack of wipe cloths

    12. An extra change of clothes to be kept in his/her cubby.

     

    Please label each item with your student’s name and room number

    2nd Grade

    1. Soft backpack

    2. White index cards (lined) 3 x 5 inches

    3. Card file box (plastic) for index cards

    4. A,B,C dividers for file box

    5. 1 spiral notebook (100-200 pages)

    6. Homework folder (pocket type)

    7. Pencils (#2) large supply

    8. Pink Pearl or other good quality erasers

    9. Large, thick, colored markers

    10. Colored pencils

    11. Small Pencil box or pouch for desk

    12. Large assortment of crayons

    13. Bottle of Elmer’s white glue plus glue sticks

    14. 3 red ballpoint pens (for correcting)

    15. Scissors

    Note: Individual teachers may add to list based upon needs of class. Please keep in mind that student desk space is limited.

    3rd Grade

    1. Binder extra large rings 2-3 inches

    2. Dividers for each subject- Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies

    3. Student plan book (to write homework and upcoming activities)

    4. Paper—Wide ruled lined white paper

    5. Pencils –no mechanical pencils

    6. Marking pends (for correcting)

    7. Scissor– adult type, your name on it

    8. 3 Single subject spiral notebooks, Reading, Math, Music

    9. Colored Pencils

    10.Pencil Case- The kind you keep in a notebook, No pencil boxes

    4th Grade

    You will need the following supplies:

    1. Binder extra large rings

    2. Dividers for each subject- Math, Health/Science, California History, Language Arts (Reading, Spelling, Language, Word Wisdom)

    3. Paper – wide ruled lined white paper

    4. Pencils- No mechanical pencils

    5. Marking pens (for correcting)

    6. Tacky glue

    7. Scissor- adult type, your name on it

    8. 3 Single subject spiral notebooks, Reading, Math, Music

    9. 1 Double subject spiral notebook for Health & History

    10. Colored Pencils

    11. Pencil Case- the kind you keep in a notebook, no pencil boxes

    12. Combination Lock ONLY

    5th Grade

    1. Zipper binder

    2. Lined filler paper

    3. Graph (squared) paper

    4. Pencil case that fits inside binder

    5. Number two pencils with erasers

    Additional supplies, such as poster board, report covers, art supplies, etc., may be needed for projects during the year. Students will bring home information as the year progresses.

    Backpacks should not be so large that they cannot fit in a locker.

    Sweaters, jackets, lunch boxes, etc., must be clearly marked with the student’s name.

    Please note that fifth graders are expected to do their school work in cursive writing, using a blue or black ball point pen. Math will be done in pencil. Students should practice writing with a pen if they are not used to it.

    Middle School: 6th thru 8th Grade

     The following list of items is required for the 2011-2012 school year. All students will be using a color-coding system of folders and notebooks for organizational purposes.

     History-blue Math – black

    Language – purple Science – green

    Literature – yellow French/Spanish – red

    Needed Items: Individual Lock for locker (combination or key) One three ring binder (2-inch) (to hold tests, quizzes, etc.)

    ? 3-hole punched binder dividers (enough for 6 subjects)

    ? Six spiral notebooks, one for each of the colors listed above

    ? Book covers for each subject/color listed above (sold on campus the first day of school)

    ? One composition book (for Language)

    ? Supply of 3×5 index cards (recommended)

    ? Supply of college ruled lined notebook paper

    ? Zippered pencil bag to fit the following items:

    a) #2 pencils

    b) Black and blue pens

    c) Green and red pens (for correcting

    d) White Out

    e) Erasers

    f) Highlighters

    • Other items may be required by specific teachers during the school year
    • Constant supply of items like pens, pencils, paper and sometimes poster board etc. will be needed throughout the year
