| Pinecrest students, Toddler through 5th Grade, welcomed Captain Ron, Engineer Rick, Firefighter/Medic James and Fireman Liddell from Rescue Engine Company 40. The children were reminded that if their clothes ever catch fire, they should Stop, Drop, and Roll on the ground, and also to be sure they never hide from a firefighter, because they are there to help. Two teachers got to pull on the full firefighter gear, complete with mask, to demonstrate how heavy a firefighter's gear can be and also to remind everyone that if they see a firefighter in their home or school dressed this way, they need not be afraid. Thank you to the firefighters for their visit to our campus. |
