Pinecrest Lancaster is so proud of our first ever Mathlete Team. On Saturday, February 23rd, eight of our top Honors Math students participated in the Math Counts/Mathlete Tournament held at Cal State Bakersfield. They competed against 18 schools from the Los Angeles and Kern County areas in three very difficult rounds lasting 45 minutes each. Seventh grader Trevor R. won first place as top scorer from Pinecrest School. Our team worked exceptionally hard and trained all year for this event. They will continue to train as they will compete again next year. A special thank you goes out to Mrs. Gocke and Mrs.
Salmon as they dedicated many hours coaching our team. Great job Panthers!
