GENERAL
GUIDELINES
All clothing is to be modest in appearance
and in good repair (no holes, rips, tears, and garments must be hemmed
properly). Clothing must be sufficient to cover all undergarments
at all times and must have modest necklines, front and/or back. No
sheer clothing is permitted.
PANTS/SHORTS/SKIRTS:
Solid color (twill or corduroy in khaki, dark green, navy or black jeans), hemmed to an appropriate length. Clothing must fit around
the waist with or without a belt. They must fit properly at the crotch,
may not be baggy/oversized. Shorts may not be shorter than mid-thigh.
Skirts should be modest in fit and length. No Blue
Jean Material for all four except on Free Dress. No Sweat Pants. Girls may wear leggings on rainy days underneath their uniforms.
SHIRTS: Pinecrest polo shirts (navy, burgundy, forest green or white) must be worn every day. If you take shirts to be embroidered they must be in the Old English Font and size 28. White Peter Pan blouse. A solid color turtleneck shirt may be worn under the Pinecrest polo shirt for warmth. Shirts worn underneath may not show below the Pinecrest shirt.
SWEATSHIRTS/SWEAT JACKETS: must be solid in color (navy, burgundy, forest green and white).
BELTS: Belts are to be worn through the belt loops of
the pants/shorts and may not hang below the waist.
JEWELRY: Jewelry/accessories
that could be deemed a safety hazard or are disruptively
excessive in size, style, or number are not allowed.
Moderate styles. Earrings: studs/hoops (1 1/2
inch max) No spiked accessories are allowed.
SHOES: Must be worn at all
times. Closed toe and heel, maximum heel height
1 inch. Shoe laces must be laced and tied properly
at all times.
HAIR: Hairstyles and
colors should not be distracting or disruptive to the
teaching/learning process in class or on campus (moderate
styles). Hair can only be a natural color: brown, black,
blonde, or red. Hair must be above the eye brows, at
the ears, and collar length for boys. Hair may not be
in the face for girls. Hair must be groomed. Modest highlights
are acceptable. Spiked hair may not be longer than 1
inch.
HATS: Bills of hats
must be worn forward at all times. Hats must be removed
before entering the classroom.
GAME SHIRTS : May be worn on game days only.
FREE DRESS: Will be on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month (be sure and check your calendar).
SPIRIT DAY: Every Wednesday will be School Spirit Day and Spirit shirts may be worn instead of uniform shirts.

SPECIFIC
CLOTHING AND ITEMS NOT ALLOWED
- Clothing, jewelry, hair, or materials,
which show evidence of membership in or affiliation with a gang.
Clothing with pictures or writing that are considered vulgar,
profane, sexually suggestive; which advocate racial, ethnic,
gender, or religious prejudice, the use of drugs, alcohol, or
any illegal activity: which pose a threat to the safety of students;
which provoke acts of violence or intimidate by fear of violence;
or which are related to groups or gang activity.
- Tops and dresses with low cut necklines
at the front (shows cleavage) and/or back, and apparel that is
tight fitting. No halter tops, midriff tops, tube tops, spaghetti
straps, tank tops, body hugging tops, short tops to the waist.
- Sweat pants; running pants
- Short Clothing: shorts, skirts, dresses
or tops.
- Hair nets
- Body Piercing (except ears)
- Steel toed shoes / sandals
- Frayed hems
- Wallet chains
- Tattoos
- Make up
- Pajamas
- Writing across the back of
shorts/pants/skirts
- Blue Jeans except for free dress days; they may not be torn or faded
Students attending school must be clean
and clothing must be clean and neat. Ragged, soiled, ill fitting
attire is unacceptable.
Our dress code is strictly enforced. The
administration has the right to declare if attire is inappropriate
for school or any school activity. If there is a question on whether
a particular garment or style is acceptable, do not wear the item
until it has been approved by the Administration. The Administration
has the final authorization of approval.
Students who are out of dress code will
receive a demerit. Repeated violators or refusal to comply with
dress code provisions will be considered defiant and may result
in disciplinary action such as a parent conference or suspension
from school.
Additional Middle School Guidelines:
MAKE-UP: Moderate use and shades.
P.E. CLOTHES: May be purchased at Pinecrest and must be worn everyday for P.E. On colder days, black, gray, or green solid color sweatpants may be worn. Game shirts may be worn on game days only.
SHIRTS: Pinecrest polo shirts (navy, burgundy, forest green, white, gray or black) must be worn everyday.
SWEATSHIRTS/SWEAT JACKETS: must be solid in color (navy, burgundy, forest green, white, gray, and black).
