In a philosophy of inclusion I believe if we view teaching as a kaleidoscope of differential learning every child will succeed. I enjoy teaching concepts in a variety of ways. This beautiful fascination of difference is always growing! I enjoy the privilege of watching minds grow and develop. The treasure of knowing I lit a small candle on their journey in education is my reward.
My most memorable or profound moments as an educator has been receiving the 1993-Teacher of the Year Award and the 2003- Brand Award. Because I am a firm believer in sustaining healthy bodies, In 2009 I taught jump rope to our Lancaster students and other Pinecrest Schools, taking an AV School statistic of 40% healthy in fitness and having middle school break that statistic to 82% Bam! When I am relaxing at home I enjoy coaching jump rope, photography, gardening, cooking, and creative writing.
