I believe that good teaching is many things: passion, reason, being responsive, remembering that each student is different, developing skills, encouraging questions, remaining flexible and having the confidence to react and adjust to changing circumstances. Often it is about humor and style. It is my job to work the classroom coaxing, guiding, sometimes pleading, but always cheering my students on. I enjoy the freedom and flexibility to teach in the way my students learn best and designing lessons that both challenge and motivate them. My most memorable moment has been every time I hear from or am visited by a former student it reminds me that I can make a difference. I enjoy spending time with my family and reading or working all types of puzzles.
