Educational Background: Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from Ashford University. Studied Physical Education at Antelope Valley College.

My philosophy is teaching children the love of learning through excitement. It is important to present my knowledge on the subject in a fun and approachable manner. Once the students look forward to learning, it makes my job easier. I have the opportunity to teach students the love of music while they learn the different aspects of theory, rhythm, tempo, and singing. My most memorable moment is when my students earn “karate belts” tied to their recorder instrument after accomplishing songs. One of my students was so overjoyed after finishing the first song and earning a white belt (lanyard string), she cried. I was blown away. The rest of the school absolutely loved it as well. While I am not at school I enjoy playing my guitar, dining out, volunteering at my local church, surfing the web, and airsofting with my buddies.
