I have been teaching at Pinecrest Schools for 12 years.  I have a Bachelor of Music,

Music Director Degree through the Archdioces.

I enjoy spending quality time with my family and two dogs, traveling, cooking, gardening,

skiing, composing and recording original music for the classes.

My philosophy is to make education come “alive” through using all of our senses of

touch, feel, write, hear, and move to music.  Make it fun by applying knowledge learned

to music games.  Create teamwork with classes through performances.  Inspire

children to discover and appreciate classical music.

I enjoy developing confidence in children through the use of performance.

Teaching skills that can be applied to math and science; spatial and cognitive

reasoning recognizing familiar patterns – all learned through playing an instrument.       

One of my most memorable moments is watching a student who had stage fright

perform with confidence.  Being the 1^st person to teach the words to the songs

that will last a lifetime, such as patriotic and seasonal songs.
