Educational Background: I received my education at The Master’s College.

My educational philosophy is simple, I believe that every student that enters my classroom has many gifts and talents that have been with them since birth, although, some may not even realize the extent of those gifts. They may even be lying dormant, waiting to be discovered. As a teacher, my desire is to shed a light on those gifts and talents in order to provide students with the confidence they need to succeed. I believe that learning starts with knowing ones identity. Once a child has a grasp on who they are and what they have to offer, I believe that they are then able to reach new levels of confidence and success. I begin my year on a treasure hunt in order to find and expose the gold that is within each of my students.

I enjoy watching my students grow as well as challenging them to work to their potential. I love interacting with them and finding out who they are as individuals. My most memorable moment as an educator was when my Middle School science team participated in NASA’s, Bohn-Meyer Math and Science Odyssey glider competition. I facilitated the engineering and technical reporting of the glider. Our team came in first for the longest flight and first for the technical paper that went with the glider. The students worked together as a team and gave the best product. I was very proud of them. In my free time I enjoy reading, sewing, crafts, and family activities.
