My name is Alicia Mowrey, and I have been working with Pinecrest for 10 years.  I currently am teaching 3rd grade here at the Canyon Country Campus.  I have a B.A in Journalism from California State University, Northridge and have my California Basic Educational Skills test.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my three sons and husband.  We enjoy going to the park, movies, and Disneyland.  I also enjoy going shopping with my wonderful girlfriends.

My educational philosophy is very simple, Always try your best and never say, “I Can’t.” The things I enjoy most about teaching at Pinecrest are, the small class sizes, and the family-like atmosphere.

A few years ago, I had a Korean exchange student in my class.  It was amazing to watch her grow academically and socially each day.  I was honored to be a part of her learning experience in America.
