Andy Reimer, Class of '65 - Northridge Campus |
| I believe I left the Northridge (Granada Hills) school in 65, then went to the Woodland Hills school for one year. Excellent education and facilities. We were close friends with Phil and Betty Dye and their children, Philip, Daria and Corey. I later was a summer camp counselor while in high school, and came back from my summer breaks and taught swimming at the Van Nuys school. Email (4/2/08) |

| I attended Pinecrest from Pre-School through 5th grade at the Northridge campus. Those were some of the best years of my life! I'll always remember the Pinecrest Olympics, team sports, Summer Camp and field trips. I remembered Mrs. Adams as my first grade teacher, who later became the principal at Chatsworth. I still live in the Valley, now with my wife and two beautiful children. When my children are old enough, I hope I can send them to Pinecrest so they can have the same experiences as I did. Carol Rindoni/Amaru, Teacher - Northridge Campus |
| In the last year, I have received emails from two students I had while teaching at Northridge. What a joy to know of their successful lives and that I in some small part added to that development. My love for each and every student was real and much cherished. Pinecrest afforded me the opportunity to get away from stacks of paperwork and focus on the student...and my we did have a full curriculum. I was also fortunate to have the opportunity to open the Chatsworth campus with Mr. Jim Baxter where once again we became an involved administration and were able to actively integrate with faculty and students. My thanks to all for one of my most memorable parts of a good life. The death of my parents resulted in my leaving CA and returning to NC. I did not return to the classroom but changed careers and am still working. I opened my own Appraisal Business and currently perform residential appraisals for the state of NC. Email (2/18/08) |

| I went to Pinecrest in Northridge from pre-school through sixth grade. I learned so much and remember so much about it. I think I actually remember more about my years at Pinecrest than I do all of Junior High and High School! Living in Simi Valley now, across the street from a Pinecrest here and sometimes wishing I could go back in time! Email (12/30/07) |

I am 29 years old, and I am a Controller for a Real Estate Developer, here in the valley.
I have a beautiful five-year-old daughter named Ashlee, who has been at Pinecrest for a couple of years now, and she loves it! I also have a 12-year-old stepdaughter who lives with me. I have been married to a wonderful man for six years, and he is a bee keeper! Very exciting job!
The kids love it.
I was a student at Pinecrest Northridge for nine years. I have a tremendous amount of wonderful memories. I miss Coach Gordo, as he was one person who taught me a lot, even how to swim. I see many familiar faces on campus all the time and it brings back good times. I especially loved sports and summer camp! Ms. Leventis now heads the kindergarten department where my daughter attends, but she was my kindergarten teacher when I was little. Many years ago, Miss Kim, was a campus aide, who I really liked, and now she is my daughter's art teacher. Time flies! I could go on and on, but most of all, Pinecrest had a huge impact on me and the person that I have become.
Good times!

| I have really good memories of Pinecrest. I am in my credential year at Humboldt State University and I often reminisce on my years at Pinecrest and how I could incorporate some of the ideas and projects that were taught to me into my own classroom. Email (10/25/07) |

Carol Rindoni Amaru, Former Teacher - Northridge Campus |
| Was second grade teacher at Northridge Campus and opened the Chatsworth School at its inception. Due to mother's death, my family relocated to NC to be near family. Own an appraisal company and have been appraising residential properties for over fifteen years. Teaching with all the wonderful staff and having exceptional children to work with has always been close to my heart. I've thought of you all often. Husband passed away in '83. Remarried and now am Carol Amaru. Email (8/30/07) |

Kirk Sunley, Class of '80 - Sherman Oaks Campus |
| I attended Northridge Pinecrest from 1971 thru 1977 and then Sherman Oaks Pinecrest from 1978 thru 1980. Pinecrest didn't have Senior high school so I attended Granada Hills high from 1981 thru 1983. I was in our Honor Guard with Coach "Gordo" and was on his swim team as well back then. Mr. Plok was my most memorable teacher from those days!
Who could forget him? I came away from Pinecrest with respect for higher learning and striving to achieve the best for yourself. I served six years in the military and now fly helicopters as a professional commercial helicopter pilot in the L.A. area. If any of my old friends should see this drop me a line to say hello...

Katherine Schryver-Stahly, Class of '86 - Northridge Campus |
I attended Pinecrest in Panorama City from 1978-1981 and then Pinecrest Northridge (or Granada Hills as we called it then) from
1981-1986 through the sixth grade. I now work as a speech-language pathologist for Torrance Unified School District in Torrance, CA.
I often reflect on the Pinecrest experience and am so grateful for all the hard-working teachers and staff that made us learn and have fun. I think of PE Director and Coach Gordon "Gordo" Rogers, Transportation Director Wayne Tindall, and teachers Sheryll Ellis, Angeline King, Carol Rindoni, James Plock, and Vicki Bellardine frequently, and now that I also work for a school, hope that I am doing half as good of a job as you all did!
Thanks for a memorable childhood that helped me become who I am today! Email (4/22/07) |
