| Third and fourth graders visited the Chumash Interpretive Center in Thousand Oaks to learn about the Chumash people and their history. In addition to touring the museum, students were taken on a hiking tour of the area, seeing a recreated Chumash village, listening to stories by our guide, doing rock painting and playing a Chumash game. The game was played with sticks and long ago was played, not only for fun, but to teach Chumash children how to hunt for rabbits. |
