Problem: How does hydrogen peroxide based hair treatments affect the color of human hair?

Hypothesis: Hydrogen peroxide works by opening up the cuticle and penetrating into the hair cortex. This causes a chemical reaction with the hair's pigment molecules to produce the color change.

Conclusion: After obtaining final results of the experiment, the researcher was able to prove the hypothesis regarding the chemical change that occurred in the hair after exposure to hydrogen peroxide based hair treatment. Also, the depth of hair lightening was dependent on the concentration of hydrogen peroxide used, which was clearly evident in the finished products.
