Question: What substances repel snails?
Hypothesis: This student's hypothesis is that copper, sandpaper and aluminum foil will prevent the snails from reaching the attractant.
Conclusion: After all of this research, this student finally came up with a
conclusion. This student's conclusion is that the snails didn't mind
trailing up the aluminum foil, sandpaper, or the pot with nothing
around it. But they did mind going up the copper. The snails did
not touch the copper one bit. I guess the aluminum foil doesn't
have some of the same chemicals as the copper to shock the snails.
I also realized that the sandpaper wasn't as rough as I thought it
would be, or wasn't rough at all for the snails' soft foot. So in the
end, my hypothesis was partially wrong.
